During the Covid-19 Lockdown in 2020 I became one of the many enthusiastic vegetable gardeners out there. Thanks to an incredible Cape Town initiative called Seed who teach permaculture to residents of the Mitchell’s Plain region and beyond, I was supplied with season appropriate seedlings and my fennel plants flourished.
When it was the right time, I was gifted with gorgeous fennel flowers and could not resist painting them during my 100 Day Art Challenge. This painting was done on Day 53 of the 100.
